Can you please read the following information prior to setting off for your stay and let us know your preferences regarding arrival and departure procedures and bedding!
1. ARRIVAL
We ask guests to collect the keys from us at Barco House from 16:30 and then we take you to the cottages to show you around. One of the reasons for doing this has always been that it can be difficult to find the Glenridding cottage, especially at night. and it gives you the chance to ask any questions you may have, regarding how things work/local knowledge.
In light of the social distancing measures currently in place we can either still do the above or you can come and pick the keys up from Barco House and find your own way to the cottage to provide a contactless check in. We will of course provide you with detailed instructions on how to find the cottages prior to your arrival.

2. PARTY MEMBERS
Please let us know before you arrive the full names and addresses of everyone who will be staying with you at the cottage.
3. BEDDING
Our bedding and sheets are washed to the highest standards in accordance with the latest virus control procedures. In addition we use high quality pillow and mattress protectors which are changed each week.
However if you would prefer to bring your own bedding (including pillows and duvet) please let us know at least 48 hours before your arrival.

5. CLEANING REGIME
Although we always ensure the cottage is thoroughly cleaned between lets, we have introduced an enhanced cleaning regime and will use anti -

We have left a small selection of maps, books, games and DVD’s in the cottage. However please note that it is impossible to thoroughly sanitise these items so guests make use of them at their own risk. We ask our guests to use the hand-
6. CONDIMENTS, CLEANING MATERIALS & WELCOME PACKS
We have taken the decision to take out all condiments (pepper, salt, oil etc..), so please bring these with you. We will however still supply, tea, coffee and sugar. There will be local milk and eggs in the fridge but we will no longer provide fruit, cheese and butter. We will still put in a complimentary bottle of wine. If you would prefer not to have any of these perishables left in the cottage please let us know.
We will continue to supply cleaning products, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, 2 toilet rolls, tea towels, kitchen towel, an initial supply of logs, fire lighters and matches.
7. COVID-
If you or any of your party are displaying any symptoms before your holiday you should stay at home. If you or any of your party develop any symptoms whilst on holiday we ask that you inform us immediately and return home. Likewise if you or any of your party test positive for Covid-
8. GOOD HOUSEKEEPING & DEPARTURE
Please can you empty all inside bins (kitchen and bathroom).
Could you please make sure that you vacate the cottage by 09.30 am at the latest to give us time to thoroughly clean and sanitise the cottage ready for the next guests.
