As well as looking after our holiday cottages we also are the proud owners of a mini herd of beef cattle. We started with four Black Galloway heifers back in 2021 and bred them with a Whitebred Shorthorn bull to produce Blue Grey calves.
They are a hardy native breed who are happy spending all year outside despite the vagaries of the Lake District weather.
So if we’re not able to respond to you straight away we’re probably out feeding the cows!
